Dial Indicator
The dial indicator is imperative when measuring cane (along with the micrometer). After gouging, it is important to make sure the cane is consistent. Without these tools, reed making can be even more frustrating.
The RWS team uses the dial indicator to measure the middle of the cane after it is gouged.
